Hello! My name is Bruno Calou, and I love to build beautiful websites. My interest in websites came when I was very young. I had a WordPress blog with a friend, and I used to edit the HTML and CSS, create assets on Photoshop, and post content.
I didn't know how to code at this age; I started programming later in college. When I had my first Python lecture, I thought it was magical. After that, I knew I had to learn more, so I changed my course from Mechanical Engineering to Computer Engineering.
Fast-forward to today, I have worked on plenty of projects. My main focus nowadays is to build incredible user experiences.

Some of the best projects I've worked on
Lofi and Games is a website I made so people could play casual games and listen to Lofi music. It has many classic games, like Solitaire, Minesweeper, Tic Tac Toe, Snake, Sudoku, and more. It also includes some newer games like Wordle and 2048.
I built all the games using standard web technologies. Some games use the Canvas API to deliver smooth rendering at high frame rates. I used Svelte, SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, and daisyUI.
TabWhale is a website made for Kalimba players. They can create and learn Kalimba tabs, transpose the tuning, convert text tabs to playable ones, and much more. I made everything from the design system to the project architecture. I designed every little detail on Figma and coded using modern development technologies.
I built the project using React, Next.js, styled-components, and Jotai on the front end. On the back end, I used the Next.js API system, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and AWS S3.
